Eagle & Phenix began as a cotton mill in the 1800s and grew into a major Southern textile operation in Columbus. Damaged and burned during the Civil War, the mill was rebuilt in the late 1860s and renamed Eagle & Phenix to symbolize its rebirth and proximity to the town across the river. Over time, additional mills and historic buildings were added -many of which still stand today. Today, the property has been fully restored and reimagined as a thriving residential community along the Chattahoochee River.
